1. Intense Learning Phase

We start our term in the school holidays so our students walk into term already ahead. Everything feels familiar the second time it's seen at school. Students feel very prepared and organised with the terms content finished by week 5 - compared to always being in catch up mode.

2. Personalised Exam Prep Phase

The part schools miss is a dedicated exam preparation block.
We create a tailored Exam Preparation Plan with every student against their Exam Notifications because not everyone has the same topics or exam schedule. Students follow their plan with our guidance, process and resources to become truly Exam Ready.

3. Exam Ready

After completing the Learning and Exam Prep Phases, our students are Exam Ready. They are practised, confident and ready to get the marks they have worked hard for!

Who is this program designed for?

The main program is designed for Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1 students.

If your child is in Maths Standard, complete the assessment and Dimitri will let you know whether we can help or recommend a better fit.

Who teaches the program?

The main program is taught by Dimitri, founder of Axiom HSC Tutoring, a UNSW Mathematics graduate with 11+ years of HSC Maths teaching experience.

Students are taught with one clear structure, one consistent method and a strong focus on exam preparation, efficient study and the question types that matter.

Is this one-on-one or group tutoring?

The program runs in small groups, not large lecture-style classes.

Students are grouped by course and ability level, so they can be pushed at the right standard while still receiving live guidance, feedback and accountability.

This gives students the benefit of group energy and discussion without being lost in a class of 20+ students.

We also provide 1-1 tutoring and offer it if that is the best fit for your child's situation. Dimitri can help answer that.

Is it online or in person?

The program is delivered online by design.

Students can see Dimitri’s working clearly, ask questions live, solve problems during class and avoid losing time travelling to and from tutoring.

For busy Year 11 and 12 students balancing multiple subjects, that saved time matters.

How much time does it take each week?

The program begins with a Holiday Head-start Week: 6 × 3-hour sessions in the final week of the school holidays.

During the term, students attend 2 × 1.5-hour workshop classes each week.

The goal is not to add more unnecessary homework. Most of the important work is completed inside the weekly sessions, with help sessions available for unfinished work.

Will this add more pressure to my child’s week?

No, the program is designed to make Maths more structured and efficient, not to overload students with more work.

Students are guided through targeted workshop questions, exam-style practice and weekly accountability so they know what matters instead of wasting hours guessing what to study.

The goal is for Maths to support their ATAR, not consume it.

What if the program isn’t the right fit?

We only recommend the program after reviewing your child’s assessment, goals and current situation.

If we don’t believe the Maths Mastery Program is the right fit, we’ll tell you honestly and recommend a better next step.

For enrolled students, the first two weeks are used to confirm fit, workload and confidence in the program.

If it’s clearly not suitable, we’ll work with you on the best resolution.

What happens after the Free Maths Skills Assessment?

After you submit the form, we’ll send your child the most suitable Maths Skills Assessment based on their course, goals and current situation.

Once your child completes it, Dimitri reviews their responses and organises a strategy call to walk you through where they sit, what is holding them back and what they need to improve next.

Dimitri Boukouvalas

I began my academic journey with a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) but transitioned to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2020, where I graduated with a BSc Mathematics.

Part of why I decided to start Axiom HSC Tutoring was to provide my students with the direction and support that I feel I missed out on when I was in school. I believe having a mentor to guide you through these critical years is invaluable, and that is what all our tutors aim to be

My teaching philosophy is based on mastering the fundamentals and employing effective learning strategies to help students build confidence, become critical thinkers, and achieve academic success through a deep understanding of course content.
